Indian Harvest becomes InHarvest
BEMIDJI, MINN., September 24, 2013—Trevor Duininck, vice president of Duininck Companies based in Prinsburg, Minn., announced yesterday that the company known as Indian Harvest for more than a third of a century is now InHarvest.
What began as a small, family-owned company supplying Minnesota-grown and harvested wild rice primarily to distinctive restaurants in the United States is today an industry-leading producer and supplier of whole grains, heirloom beans, artisan blends and other innovative grain products for foodservice, manufacturing and retail customers around the globe.
“As our customer base continues to grow worldwide, InHarvest better represents our entire organization by bringing all of our products and employees under a single corporate name,” says Duininck. “Simply, InHarvest helps us better express our greater product offerings, locations, capabilities and expertise reflected by talented people.”
The last few years have seen unprecedented growth for InHarvest with the acquisition of venerable U.S.-based companies that specialize in grain-based food production along with expanded harvesting and processing operations in Northern California. Meanwhile, the company’s presence in retail, with products both in packaged and prepared foods, has increased exponentially at the same time that its industrial business flourishes at home and abroad, particularly in Europe.
Adds Duininck, InHarvest is a change in name only; all ownership, leadership, locations and organizational details remain the same. “Our new name is both inclusive and expansive,” he says. “InHarvest is our future. And it’s a future that our entire family of dedicated employees embraces with passion for and commitment to supplying pioneering solutions via the highest-quality products and unparalleled service—a reputation that has built and sustained our company’s brand for more than 35 years.”
