Indian Harvest Launches Facebook Page
Indian Harvest Gets Chefs Talking on Facebook
New fan page will spur conversations
among chefs on quality ingredients,
winning menu applications and prevailing diner issues.
BEMIDJI, MINN., February 3, 2010 – Indian Harvest Specialtifoods, Inc., a leading supplier of heirloom and exotic grains, beans, legumes and blends to foodservice, announces the launch of its fan page on Facebook. Designed as an interactive resource for chefs seeking recipe inspiration and menu solutions, the new social-networking tool will spur meaningful dialogue and share valuable information on exceeding diners’ expectations with Indian Harvest products.
“We’re excited to share our passion by leading conversations on delivering an ultimate diner experience,” says Chef Michael Holleman, Indian Harvest’s director of culinary development. “Thanks to the wealth of expertise of the professionals making up Indian Harvest’s Culinary Team, we anticipate many lively and relevant discussions with chefs nationwide.”
To begin those discussions, a video portrays Holleman taking the global-street-food trend tableside in a demonstration on preparing Baja fish tacos sporting red and white quinoas. Other current menu trends—including demand for whole grains, sustainable/Fair Trade ingredients and upscaled comfort foods—appear in the Trends tab and will be updated regularly featuring flavorful, marketable applications with Indian Harvest products.
Indian Harvest’s world-class Culinary Team will regularly share menu and recipe insights with fans, discuss leading industry issues and answer product and application questions, to keep conversations fresh. “Fan polls, personal insights of Indian Harvest’s chefs and links to organizations that share our company’s commitment to quality and purity of ingredients and service will distinguish our new Facebook fan page as a go-to site for chefs everywhere,” Holleman says.
